Re: Refresh moteur Sport160
on progresse:) meme si il reste des truc a decider, comme suggerer ici:
pa sencore tout a fait decider sur les petits details mais je vais probablement lmui amene cet hiver:)
The Efi is a very good ecu & I know we can put a pretty good map into it. Not much places can map them, I have been told by a very good mapper here who does map them that the EFI system is very complex compared to other modern systems- things may have improved since I spoke to him a year ago over efi ecu mapping. I m pretty sure Steve Greenald of 'Race engine calibrations' in rainham, Essex could do a great job at mapping it as he has huge experience at setting up very exotic racing machines and he knows well the EFI.
I also have good relation with Ole Buhl of Efi in Ringwood in Hampshire, in case I can get all infos needed from him as well.
Yes I can take the car & do the work in my workshop
Eek, an estimate of the work, better if you could call me one more time to discuss details. Many areas that we can improve also throw up 'options'- such as, if we fit the uprated VVC 160 pistons we can also fit the improved VVC big end bearings? also there is the uprated Landrover oilrail for in the sump- these the headbolts screw into, i think these 2 options worth to be used but other things can snowball if we dont define a limit.
Will you wish to upgrade the Coolant system with a Prt/prrt??, will you expect a cambelt assembly change?? this is not as dumb a question as it sounds! Have you changed the antifreeze for the newer OAT long life?? do you want the antifreeze changed?? If we fit the better pistons, the engine will need to be 'Run in', this means NO motorway travel to return to belgium!! The engine will require at LEAST 500mls to 'Bed the rings in' by greatly varied driving- failure to do this will leave the engine smoking & using oil etc & likely reduce performance to some degree- soooo, it would likely be nesesary for you to take a few days holiday to come over & 'Drive' your car around to run it in- I cannot do this for you.
This is a print of one of the reworked S160's
